Will Vario's strap fit my watch?

There's a good chance they will fit. Our straps are designed to fit most watches that use standard spring bars and have a lug width between 18mm to 24mm. Please email us at customer_service@vario.sg if you are not sure and would like us to have a look.

For our straps that feature quick release pins, please make sure your watch's lug width is the exact width of the strap that you select or the spring bars will not fit correctly.

What is Quick Release?

Quick release system allows anyone to change straps whenever they want without a tool. It is convenient especially for those without experience in changing straps.

Graphic Strap

For the graphic straps, if your watch lug has an odd width, we recommend going with the smaller width band as the material is not as soft as your usual nylon strap and might not squeeze in well.

I have seen cheaper straps online. why are you charging a premium for your graphic straps?

Our graphic straps are all limited editions (500 pieces per design) to help you express your individuality. You won't likely find yourself wearing the same strap as the person next to you.

Harris Tweed

What is Harris Tweed and why wear Harris Tweed strap?

Harris Tweed is a fabric handwoven by islanders at their homes in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland and made from pure virgin wool dyed and spun in the Outer Hebrides. For more than 100 years, the skills used to create Harris Tweed have been passed down through the generations. Today, it is at the cutting edge of fashion and design and associated with luxury.

Our Harris Tweed strap comes with a soft leather backing makes the strap feel comfortable on your wrist. Harris Tweed is water resistant, breathable and flexible. Our Harris Tweed strap comes in a variety of colours and wears wonderfully attaining its own unique patina over time.

Is it suitable for warm countries?

These Harris Tweed straps are not much warmer compared with leather straps. They're breathable and comfortable on the wrist. These are produced in small volumes to give our customers a unique experience.

My watch needs an odd size strap eg 19,21mm. Which size should I choose?

You can choose 1mm narrower which will have a bit of gap or you can go 1mm wider as the fabric stretches. Both will work depending on your preference. Just remember to get the correct size spring bars for your watch.

Vintage Italian Leather

Are your vintage leather straps old stocks?

Our straps are brand new but we've made them in the style of vintage watch straps where they taper quite a bit for aesthetic purposes. They are not old stocks.

Crazy Horse Leather

Can I use your crazy horse leather strap on a normal watch? How do I install your strap?

Our crazy horse watch straps are meant for wired lug watches but they can fit any timepiece that is able to take generic 3rd party straps. Click here to learn how to install these straps on your watch.

You've mentioned your crazy horse leather watch strap scratches easily. How do I maintain them?

Our crazy horse leather watch strap is designed to show off scratch marks easily so as to create a rugged look to match your rugged watch. Some customers would use leather care on the strap but do note they will darken the leather and it is always better to use leather care sparingly over a few times for the desired results.

Cordura Nylon 

Are there any special instructions for the single pass Cordura?

Place a strap on the watch before installing the spring bars to prevent rivets from scratching your watch case. May not fit watches with short lugs. Consider getting curved spring bars for easy installation.

Silicone  

Does your silicone watch strap come with quick release?

Our silicone watch strap doesn't come with quick release. You can purchase a set of spring bars from our accessories section if your original strap comes with a quick release.

Clip-On

Can I use your clip on strap on a normal watch? How do I install your strap?

Our clip-on straps are meant for wired lug watches but they can fit any timepiece that is able to take generic 3rd party straps. Lift the clip up slightly before slotting the lugs in and especially out to maintain leather integrity. Watches

I ordered your watch but realized it's not suitable for me. Can I return it?

We have a 14 days return policy for our watches and accessories. If they are not worn, you can return it to us and we can do an exchange or refund (minus our shipping cost). Please check the return policy and instructions on how to send the item back in the section below.

Do your watches come with a warranty and what are your terms?

We provide 2 year warranty for all our watches unless otherwise stated. The warranty includes the internal movements of the watch but excludes parts that are subject to external wear. Eg Worn straps, scratches on case, cracked crystals, damage due to negligence eg. Water damage due to crown not screwed down, Breaking of mainspring due to overwinding, Movement failure due to impact.

We have watchmakers in US, UK, EU and Singapore to service watches for our customers should you run into any problems with your watch.

What if I receive a defective watch?

We check all our watches before we send them out but If the watch arrived in unsatisfactory condition and/or the movement proves to be defective in material or workmanship under normal use, we will repair or replace your watch and deliver it to you at our cost.

We would also require you to return your watch and we can cover your shipping fees. Please contact us at customer_service@vario.sg and we will walk you through the process.

Are there any fees for watch repair?

A return shipping, handling and servicing fee of US$25 will apply to all warranty services and will be borne by the customer.

Should the defect be deemed to be (external) wear, the customer will be subjected to the cost of the part (I.E Replacement Bezel, Crystal, Case) on top of the US$25 service fee.

I bought your watch via a third party. Can I get a warranty for the watch?

Our warranty covers Vario watches dated within 2 year of purchase. 

Do I have to pay taxes and duties in my country?

Our watches are sent duties unpaid (DDU) so any tax and duties will be the customer's responsibility. For customers who wants the watch sent duties paid (DDP), please do not hesitate to contact us for a quote. For the majority of retail customers it means cheaper courier handling fees, less hassle with customs, and faster clearance. A personalized payment link will be emailed to you to make payment and you do not need to make any additional payments after this.

T-Shirt

Why can't I purchase T-shirts together with other products?

Our Horology T-shirts are fulfilled by our print on demand partner while items such as watches, straps and accessories are fulfilled by us. Eg. If you bought our strap and T-shirt, we will be sending out the strap from 2 locations and we would incur 2 shipping costs. Please purchase our T-Shirts as a separate order as we can't offer combined shipping for the different product groups. The shipping cost is calculated by our partner and we can't abosrb the shipping cost unfortunately.

Why am I charged a shipping fee for T-shirts even though they're more than US$25?

These T-Shirts are made to order products and they will incur shipping fee irregardless as they're fulfilled by our Print on Demand partners and our thin margins don't allow us to absorb the shipping cost for customers.


Why can't I return a T-shirt?

We do not accept any returns for personalized T-shirts because they are made specially for you and we can't sell them to someone else even if they were unworn.

Orders and Payments

I want a colour or size that you don't have. What should I do?

Please email us your suggestions at customer_service@vario.sg and if we get enough requests, we will integrate them into our collection.

Do you custom make straps?

We currently do not offer any custom orders but we are able to offer a corporate gifting service that enables you to express gratitude to staff and clients. Corporate reductions are available based on the volume of your order. Please get in touch with us at customer_service@vario.sg

Is ordering from your website secure?

We use industry leaders like Shopify, Stripe and Paypal to run our e-commerce store. Shopify meets all 6 categories of PCI standards.

What modes of payment do you accept?
Currently we accept credit cards, debit cards and Paypal

What currency are the prices listed in?
Currently customers in US, UK, Singapore, Australia, Canada, Korea will pay in their native currency. All other countries will be paying in USD.

I am living in a remote area. Is the express charges as claimed?

In the case where we enter your address in the system and if the cost is higher than normal, we will check with you if you would like to top up the difference or cancel the transaction for a refund.

Shipping

Is Worldwide Shipping FREE?

Shipping is FREE by mail for orders over US$25 (after discount is applied) to most countries.
Shipping costs US$3 for Singapore customers for orders under US$25.
Shipping costs US$6 for International customers for orders under US$25.
Free Courier for Singapore customers for orders over $100.
Free Express DHL Courier Service for orders over US$200.

How long does it take to ship my order? When will I receive my order?

For Standard Shipping - We send the orders by mail within 3-5 working days and it takes about 3 working days for delivery in Singapore, 10 to 25 working days for international deliveries including US, UK, Australia and Asia except Africa, Middle East and India which might take longer. Mails are not transported on weekends and public holidays.

For Express Shipping - We send the orders by couriers like DHL Express and it takes 3 to 5 days for delivery. Remote locations might take a few more days.

Delivery time is only an estimate and varies due to external factors that are beyond Vario's control including but not limited to customs delays, technical failures, extreme weather conditions and strikes. 

Why is there a US shipping label created but there's no movement for the 1 week or so?

We send 2 express bulk shipments to US on a weekly basis to be dropped at USPS hence there's no movement for the tracking for the 1st week or so. There will be updates once USPS have scanned the item and they will reach our customers faster than if we had sent them directly from Singapore.

How do I track my order? retrieve the tracking number?

Within 1 to 2 working days after we send out your package, you will receive an email from us containing your package's tracking information. Find your order confirmation email, click on "View your order" and you will see your tracking number. You can click on that number and it will bring you to the website to copy and paste the tracking number to check its whereabouts. Alternatively you can visit your local post office website and use the same tracking number (for limited countries only) after a few weeks. For customers in USA, once the package reaches USA, USPS will convert the tracking number. You may wish to call USPS and let them know the tracking number that we sent you and get them to help.

Will I be charged customs or import duties?

All prices stated on our website exclude VAT and/or fees for import/customs fees unless otherwise stated due to the country's compliance. Any customs or import duties are to be paid by the recipient of the parcel. Unfortunately, we are not familiar with all duties and tax rates as they vary. We suggest you contact your local customs office for charges before you order.

What happens if no one is at home to retrieve the registered mail?

For any unsuccessful delivery, usually a delivery advice will be slipped under the door of the recipient or in the mailbox. You can either reschedule another delivery or collect it at your local post office. In the case where the recipient fails to collect the package and the package is returned to us, we will impose a US$6 shipping fee to mail it back to the recipient.

What are the possible reasons that may cause a delay in delivery?

  • Custom inspection and clearance process
  • Wrong address given
  • Festive period

We will help you to raise an enquiry if it takes longer than usual but please do be patient as most of the time the mails do reach our customers.

I suspect my mail is lost. What can I do?

If your mail did not arrive within the estimated time frame, check the delivery status with the tracking number provided and wait for a few more days. Usually customers do get their mail eventually. Based on our experience, countries like USA, Italy, Philippines and Malaysia take a longer time to reach. Please add 5 more working days to the above estimated delivery time if your location is more remote. For Canada and Middle East/UAE, please add 10-15 working days for delivery.

If it takes much longer than usual and you suspect the mail is lost, email us at customer_service@vario.sg and we will raise an investigation with Singpost. Do note an investigation can only be raised 1 month after the mail has been sent to make sure there is enough transit time for the mail to reach its destination country and clear customs before being delivered to the recipient. If the mail is lost, we will contact you for a replacement or full refund of your order.

I gave the wrong address or the wrong order. Can you change it for me?

If you noticed you made a wrong order, please email us immediately at customer_service@vario.sg and if we haven't sent it out, we can make the changes for you. Once the package has been sent out, we will need to get you to send the unused product back to us at your cost and we will impose a US$3 (Domestic) or US$6 (International) shipping fee to mail your correct order back to you.

In the case where you supplied the wrong address or insufficient address details and if the mail comes back to us, we will impose a US$3 (Domestic) or US$6 (International) shipping fee to mail it back to you again. However, we are not responsible for any lost shipment due to a wrong address provided.

I ordered the wrong product and don't like the watch that I ordered. Can I return it for an exchange or get a refund?

All of our products carry a satisfaction guarantee. If for any reason you are unsatisfied when you receive your product, email us within 14 days at customer_service@vario.sg

In your email, please include
1. Your name and order number
2. Return for Store Credit or Exchange
3. Name of the items you are not happy with
4. If exchanging, specify the product you wish to receive

We will usually respond within 2 business days and can coordinate a store credit or exchange. Customer satisfaction is our top priority and we aim to have a happy return customer.

*Items sent back should be unworn and with the original packing intact.
**Watches will be inspected and if there's any damage, we will deduct the cost needed to repair or refurbish the watch. We will then offer an exchange or refund minus our express shipping cost and a 5% transaction fee from Shopify / Paypal / Credit Card.

Will you pay for my return postage?

When a return or exchange is made, the customer will pay for the shipment to us and once we check the product is in good unworn condition, we will send out a replacement and pay for the shipment of replacement to our customer.

In the case where the product is faulty when the customer receives it, we will cover the customer's shipping cost in the form of store credit. However we do check our products before sending them out to minimize such issues. Do contact us for instructions on how to return the product to us. Any unauthorized returns are subject to a stocking fee.
