Vario NAVI x REDBAR SG

RedBar is a global community of watch collectors and enthusiasts, with chapters around the world, including the vibrant RedBar SG in Singapore. Having been part of RedBar SG since August 2021, I’ve greatly benefited from its events and community spirit. When the chapter approached me to collaborate on their first-ever watch project, I immediately saw it as an opportunity to celebrate Singapore’s watchmaking talent and the supportive local community.

The resulting timepiece blends iconic elements from Vario’s designs, incorporating the Single Hand concept from the NAVI collection and Art Deco numerals from the Empire collection. Singapore’s national colors, red and white, feature prominently in the design, with the centerpiece being a rare red tiger eye stone dial. This unique material, chosen for its striking aesthetic and exclusivity, is notoriously challenging to produce, adding to the watch’s craftsmanship and value.

Cased in Singapore and limited to just 60 pieces, the watch commemorates Singapore’s 60th birthday in 2025 with a caseback featuring the RedBar and SG60 logos. This special edition watch is a tribute to Singapore’s heritage and local horological talent, offered to RedBar SG members, the global RedBar network, and Vario fans. It stands as a symbol of community, artistry, and the shared passion for fine watchmaking.
