Elaine, a recently retired professional ballerina, began her journey on stage at the tender age of six at the Singapore Ballet Academy, later Central School of Ballet, London. She later graced the stages of the Singapore Dance Theatre, now Singapore Ballet where music and movement became her language. After 14 years of dedication, discipline, and performance with the company, she is keen to pursue a design career to share her love for the beauty of form and function. Her eye for design is reflected in her taste in watches. From her first childhood Casio and Swatch to a lifelong admiration for the Cartier Tank, she is drawn to clean lines, artistic silhouettes, and timepieces that carry personal resonance. Choosing the Vario Pilot in brass was no coincidence—it felt like a reflection of her own journey, its evolving patina echoing a life richly layered with experience.

Yao Cong’s story, like Elaine’s, is shaped by the performing arts. He joined the school band and was assigned the tuba to match his tall stature. A classically trained tuba player from Guildhall School, London, he found his rhythm not in the spotlight, but in the harmony of orchestral support. A team player through and through, he has performed across Europe, managed orchestras, and served as a trusted pillar of sound behind countless productions. It was in one such orchestra project—during a Singapore Ballet production—that he met Elaine. And like two melodies intertwining, their lives have been in sync ever since.

Yao Cong’s affinity for watches mirrors his personality: understated, thoughtful, and sincere.
