For Singapore, this story is especially meaningful.

Situated at one of the world's busiest maritime crossroads, Singapore has flourished because of the sea. Generations of sailors, merchants and explorers arrived on our shores from every corner of the globe, making our island nation a meeting place of cultures and ideas. The sea is more than our geography, it is part of our identity.

This shared maritime heritage inspired the Vario NAVI Voyage.

The NAVI collection was originally created as a passion project by Ivan around the philosophy of navigation. Sailing, however deep, dark or choppy the waters, has always been about finding one's way. It is a reminder that life is not measured by speed alone, but by direction.

Unlike conventional watches that divide every passing minute into ever-smaller increments, the NAVI embraces a slower, more deliberate relationship with time through its single-hand display. That idea became the foundation of the NAVI Voyage collection.

Rather than simply creating watches inspired by national flags, we wanted each edition to reflect the culture behind the colours. Every dial features hour numerals written in the country's native language, a subtle detail that transforms the watch into something more than a timepiece.

Reading ONE, UN, EINS, or UNO is a small reminder that every language offers a different way of seeing the world.

You don't need to speak the language to appreciate it.

Just as travelling introduces us to unfamiliar words, customs and perspectives, the NAVI Voyage celebrates the joy of discovery. Over time, those unfamiliar numerals become familiar, much like returning to a favourite destination.

The inaugural NAVI Voyage pays tribute to five European nations whose histories have long been intertwined with the sea.

England, France, Germany, Spain and Italy have each played significant roles in maritime exploration, trade and cultural exchange over the centuries. Their ports became gateways between continents, while their ships connected distant shores with new opportunities and ideas.

Each watch draws inspiration from the colours of its national flag while preserving the clean, highly legible design language of the NAVI.

The collection consists of:

With only 600 watches produced worldwide, every edition is created in small numbers for collectors who appreciate thoughtful design and meaningful storytelling.

Although inspired by Europe, the NAVI Voyage remains unmistakably a Singapore creation.

Designing the collection from Singapore felt entirely natural. Our island has always looked outward. Every day, countless vessels pass through the Singapore Strait, continuing a tradition of maritime exchange that stretches back centuries.

Living in a global city also means being surrounded by different cultures and languages. The idea of celebrating diversity through thoughtful design reflects not only the countries featured in this collection, but also the multicultural spirit that defines Singapore itself.

Each NAVI Voyage is made in Japan, combining dependable Japanese craftsmanship with Vario's design philosophy of creating watches that tell meaningful stories.
